Pfaff select 4.0 is practical, durable, strong and produces professional looking results. The wide range of features that it provides makes it very versatile.
This machine contains 40 built in stitch options that include utility stitches, decorative and stretch stitches. The stitch length is customizable up to 6mm, and width up to 5.5mm. With comfortable direct selection using soft-touch system you can quickly browse through all the stitch options. The speed of sewing can easily be controlled, based on your needs and the fabric type, with the help of foot control. It offers also two speed options.
The IDT feature gives a smooth and even finish to the final product. To ensure that none of the fabric slips away, the integrated dual feed feature feeds the fabric, from both the top and bottom, simultaneously; this is great for fine fabrics and when working with multiple layers. It even makes sure that, despite the speed or fabric thickness, the needle piercing remains consistent throughout.
To secure the seams it offers a reverse stitching option is located in a easy to reach position, and with the automatic buttonhole option, you can stitch on buttons without turning the fabric. For the perfect accurate seam and topstitch, it provides 15 needle location. This machine allows you to thread the needle automatically using the nifty threader. The accessory storage can be detached to use the long free arm; this works great when working with cuffs and sleeves. For quilters the high foot lift feature, means thick multiple layers of fabrics can easily be accommodated.
To prevent the equipment from damage and dust, it comes with a hard and sturdy cover. It also includes other accessories, like bobbins, needles, transparent foot, standard pressed foot, zipper foot, overlocking, blind stitch foot, free motion quilting/daring foot and patchwork guide etc. that allows you to get started on your project right away.
Not only is the Select 4 a good looker it is styled to allow a good unrestricted view of the needle and presser foot while sewing in the seated position. Customer rating: After a horrific and costly encounter with Joys Sewing Machines, I decided to buy a brand that is known for outstanding quality. I chose right.
I wish the machine had a 1 step button hole and maybe even a few more decorative stitches but you cant have everything, can you?
It sews smoothly and beautifully but does at times miss stitches when sewing really slowly.

Customer rating: After weeks of ringing other stores. I eventually spoke to Colin. He gave me the advise I needed and I bought the Pfaff.
This is a supberb machine.We make kites so the dual feed system is perfect for ripstop. And what power this machine has the 90watt motor is just great.
This has to be the Kite makers machine.
oh my wife is also going to use it to make our daughters wedding dress :-)
